reclaim your Time
Less Screen Time for a Better Life
Giving too much time away to addictive platforms?
Tried other approaches like tracking screen time, deleting apps and setting limits?
Looking for a new approach to find the time to create the life you truly want?
Reclaim Your Time is a behavior driven approach to reducing time wasted in front of screens on addictive applications.
The average American now spends over 12 hours per day in front of screens. If you can recover 1/4 of that time, that is just over 20 hours a week!
Three different ways to engage with us
Even technology innovators like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Mark Cuban limited their children’s screen time.
They knew too much of their own products are bad for human development.
why this course?
At Reclaim Your Time, we recognize it’s not your fault! The platforms nearly all of us have become addicted to were built to be addictive, with the goal of getting us to spend as much time on them as possible. Therefore, we are not in the business of shaming you. However, we recognize your need for a habit change. The way most people address the issue is to simply track and try to limit screen time, often focusing on only one component of the problem, like social media use or just phone. Others suggest one-size-fits all suggestions, like adding app limits, that fails to acknowledge that we are all different. The Reclaim Your Time program is based on my personal story in achieving a better balance with technology. It uses positive behavioral change techniques that take into account all forms of time waste, as well as the fact that we are all individuals. Check out the links below for more information.
About me
My name is Stephen Jaye. My current mission is to bring humanity into a new healthier era. A big part of it is sharing my experience in creating a healthier relationship with technology.
I was never too thrilled to see how social media and smart phones changed the way we live our lives. People became more isolated, angry and depressed. Meanwhile, I hit somewhat of a low point of my own, in the mid-to-late 2010s. I had a series of jobs that were not a good fit for me, was not too thrilled with other areas of my life and just generally felt stuck.
I tried various techniques to reduce my screen time, including phone free days, app limits and even forcing myself to do planks and burpees every time my screen time exceeded an hour on my phone. I learned a lot from these experiences, studies habits and behaviorism. In 2022, I was able to keep my total screen time over 40% below the average American and I am now here to share these experiences and techniques with you!
